About Forget the Office

The essentials

What is Forget the Office?

Forget the Office is a support platform to help you build, grow and make your own business successful. It brings strategy, identity work and execution support into one place, giving you the clarity, tools and support to keep moving your business forward — so you can grow a business you actually love, without doing it alone.

We help you build something that's genuinely yours — with clarity, ethical marketing that still sounds like you, and support that meets you where you are.

Who is Forget the Office for?

Forget the Office is for ambitious women and men who want to build a business of their own, but keep finding themselves stuck between knowing what they want and actually making it happen.

You might have the idea, but struggle to take consistent action. You might be questioning your strategy, second-guessing your decisions, or feeling like the way you're showing up doesn't match the business you want to build.

And while it might look or feel like a lack of time, motivation or discipline from the outside or even from your own perspective, often there's something deeper getting in the way: self-doubt, limiting beliefs, identity, fear or simply not feeling safe enough to take the next step.

Who is Merce, and who's behind Forget the Office?

Merce Maresma is the founder. She started out as a corporate lawyer in Spain, hit a full neurodivergent burnout, then rebuilt — retraining in digital marketing, running her own agency, and eventually creating the space she wished she'd had.

That mix of strategy, marketing psychology and real human coaching is deliberate, and it's properly qualified: a law degree and business school, a Master's in Digital Marketing, Certified Professional Coach (OCC-I), NLP Practitioner, and Level 1 Coach with the Institute of Applied Psychology in Sydney — plus 7+ years guiding founders. What makes Forget the Office different from other business coaching?

Most programs give you strategy or mindset work. We don't split them. You get real business strategy (offer, positioning, pricing, marketing) held alongside the inner and somatic work that lets you actually carry it out, plus the support to take action when you find resistance.

We'll tell you the truth about your offer kindly but straight, we build around your voice rather than a generic template, and we pair real systems and real support with the inner work so you can grow without burning out.

What does "trauma-informed and neuro-affirming" actually mean here?

It means we build with your nervous system and the way your mind actually works — never against it. In practice that looks like three commitments:

  • Trauma-informed — we move at the pace of trust. No shame, no pressure, none of the "just push through it."
  • Neurodivergent-oriented — built by an ADHD founder, with the way real brains work in mind. For the sensitive, the neurodivergent, the over-achievers and the perfectionists — and everyone in between. Clear and structured without being rigid. Supportive without putting you in a box.
  • Radically inclusive — everyone belongs here, whatever your race, gender, sexual orientation, background or story (can't believe we have to say this sh*t!)
Do I need to be in a certain place, or is this all online?

Everything runs online, so you can take part from wherever you are. Live sessions happen on video with replays if you can't make it in real time, courses are on demand, and 1:1 coaching is over video with support in between. Wherever you're based, we can work together.

Ways to work together

Five paths, one place to grow

What are the different ways I can work with you?

There are five:

  • The Lobby — a self-paced overview of the business foundations, so you can see the whole picture before deciding where to start.
  • The Motion Room — our community and ongoing support space, designed to keep you moving between bigger builds — or alongside them, when you want extra support.
  • Building Cycles — live group coaching that gives you the roadmap, the momentum and the peers to build alongside.
  • Alongside — deep, personalised 1:1 coaching with Merce.
  • Marketing Partner — strategy through to done-for-you: marketing and social media strategy, funnel creation, and funnel optimisation & ads management.
I'm not sure which one is right for me — how do I choose?

Two easy ways. Use the "What does your business need right now?" selector on our home page — pick the situation that sounds like you, and it points you to the Cycle or support that fits where you are right now.

Or, if you'd rather talk it through, book a free 30-minute Clarity Call. We'll map where you are and the smartest next step — no pressure, no obligation, even if that step isn't with us.

Do I have to pick just one?

No — our different offerings are designed to meet you at different stages. Many people start in The Lobby for the overview, then go deeper from there. We recommend taking Building Cycles one at a time, but you can pair it with The Motion Room ongoing support or 1:1 Coaching Sessions or programs. If you're weighing more than one, our "What does your business need right now?" selector or a Clarity Call is the fastest way to find your best starting point.

The Motion Room · community & ongoing support

The community

What is The Motion Room?

It's our community and ongoing-support space, built to close the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. It's not a heavy, content-filled container where you build your business step by step — it's a space designed to help you get unstuck and take action. You get all three things that get you there: the clarity to know your next move, the inner coherence to feel safe acting on it, and the motion — community, accountability and Priority Days — to actually make it happen, week after week. See everything inside The Motion Room →

When does it open and how do I join?

The Motion Room doesn't have a start date yet. You can join the waitlist now — you'll be the first to know when doors open, and waitlisters get early-bird pricing.

Do I have to show up live?

No. The live calls, coworking, coaching and circles are there when you want them — and every live session is recorded, so you can catch the replay whenever it suits you. The Motion Map is always on demand. You'll get the full schedule the moment you join.

Who is The Motion Room not for?

It's not for anyone looking for a magic bullet or a done-for-you shortcut. The membership gives you the clarity, community and accountability — but you're the one building. If you're ready to do real work with real support, it's for you. If you want someone to do it for you, our Marketing Partner is the better fit.

Building Cycles

Group coaching, five Cycles

What is Building Cycles?

It's where you get the focused support to build what your business needs next — five Cycles that meet you where you are. Take the one you need on its own, in any order: you don't have to start at Foundations or follow a fixed path. Explore what's inside →

What Cycles are included?

Five, each a distinct answer to "what does my business need next?"

  • Foundations Cycle — turn your idea into a business people buy from: offer, audience, positioning
  • Visibility Cycle — get the right people to see it
  • Signature Cycle — turn what you know into a signature product, course or program you can sell
  • Ecosystem Cycle — build a journey that converts, so every offer works together
  • Traction Cycle — bring the right people into a funnel you already have, with paid ads

They aren't a ladder — take any one on its own, in any order. Looking for ongoing community and momentum between builds? That's The Motion Room.

Can I take just one Cycle, or do I have to do all five?

Take any Cycle on its own, in any order, depending on where you are — the Cycles aren't a ladder, and you don't have to start at Foundations or complete every one. You can take more than one at a time, but most people get more from focusing on a single Cycle at a time. See the Cycles →

Alongside

1:1 coaching

What is Alongside?

It's Forget the Office's 1:1 coaching — deep, personalised work with Merce. The method braids three things that only work together: business strategy (the plan), inner coherence (the body), and motion (the movement) — so the decision, the capacity to make it, and the action to carry it out all arrive at once. More on Alongside →

What's the difference between the Momentum and Anchor cycles?

Same four-month cycle and the same method — what changes is the pace. Anchor is one 1:1 session a month plus an hour of your marketing reviewed: a steady hand on the wheel, built for building around a job or kids. Momentum doubles it — two sessions a month and two hours of marketing reviews — for full pace and the most support. See the cycles →

Do I need any experience with somatic work?

None at all. You don't need experience or any particular belief about it — just a willingness to notice what's happening in your body. Merce guides every part of it.

Is this business coaching or personal coaching?

Both, on purpose. We work on real business strategy while working with the nervous system that has to carry it out.

What if I only want one session, not a whole cycle?

That's what the intensives are for — two focused hours, €147, pointed at the one thing in your way (Strategy, Inner Coherence or Motion). Want more bang for your buck? The Clarity Bundle is three sessions over three months for €377. Either can roll into a full cycle later. See the intensives →

How do we meet, and how much does it cost?

Sessions are 1:1 over video, with voice-note support in between — so wherever you are, we can work together. The prices for every container and single session are on the Alongside · 1:1 Coaching page, and payment plans are available. See Alongside →

Is 1:1 coaching safe if I'm neurodivergent or carry a trauma history?

Yes — it's built for exactly that. Alongside is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-oriented: we move at the pace of trust, work with your nervous system rather than overriding it, and shape the work around how you're actually wired. Nothing here asks you to push through or mask. That said, coaching isn't a substitute for psychological or mental health support. If you feel you need that kind of support, it's important to seek it from a qualified professional.

Getting started

First steps

I'm brand new — where should I start?

Start with the "What does your business need right now?" selector to see which way of working fits where you are, or book a free Clarity Call and we'll help you map it out. There's no wrong door — the point is just to find your next step, not your whole roadmap at once.

What is a Clarity Call?

A free, no-obligation 30-minute call with Merce to map where you are and the smartest next move for you. If we're a good fit, we'll walk you through the ways to work together. If not, we'll point you in the right direction anyway. Either way, you leave with clarity — no pressure. Book your call →
